SOTRADEL, History of a dynamic and forward-looking company
1966: The company SOTRADEL-LYON (road transport) was founded in Fontaines/Saône (69), near LYON,
1990: The first warehouse (5 000 sq.m) was built in Reyrieux (01), located between Lyon and Villefranche-sur-Saône,
1994: Opening of a new warehouse (3 000 sq.m) in Limas (69), near Villefranche-sur-Saône
1995: Noël COMTE acquired SOTRADEL and became its Chairman. He began to develop logistics services,
1997: Opening of a new warehouse in Villefranche-sur-Saône (69) ; extension of Limas warehouse(7 000 sq.m),
1999: The company "Transports BELIN" joined the road transport activity of SOTRADEL,
2003 : SOTRADEL was certified ISO 9001 v2000,
opening of a new warehouse (7 500 sq.m) in Arnas (69), near VIllefranche-sur-Saône
2004: Opening of a second warehouse (17 000 sq.m) in Reyrieux (01),
2005: SOTRADEL distinguished its key activities : creation of "SOTRADEL Transports" and "SOTRADEL Logistique" companies.
SOTRADEL developed its skills with the creation of "COGEMO" : logistics equipment supplies and handling supplies rental,
Extension of Reyrieux warehouse (5 000 sq.m),
2006: SOTRADEL warehouses got involved in an environmental certification ISO 14001v2004,
opening of a third warehouse (10 000 sq.m) in Reyrieux (01),
2007: The first warehouse was certified ISO 14001v2004,
2009: SOTRADEL renewed its Quality Management ISO 9001v2008 certification (all sites and activities : transport and logistics),
2010: The company "GS TRANSPORTS" joined the road transport activity of SOTRADEL,
In September, Transports BELIN signed the "Charte CO2" with The ADEME (French Environment and Energy Management Agency) : a voluntary commitment to reduce CO2 emissions
2011: SOTRADEL got involved in Corporate Social Responsibility, a voluntary compliance of social and ecological responsibility of companies : ISO 26000,
GS Transports signed the "Charte CO2" with The ADEME
April 2011: The ADEME selected SOTRADEL for the "Plan national de valorisation des déchets" (national plan for waste reuse) : SOTRADEL was the only logistics provider among 50 companies selected in France.
November 2011: SOTRADEL was nominated for the "Prix Entreprises et Environnement" (Business and Environment Awards), awarded by the French Ministry of Sustainable Development and ADEME.
SOTRADEL was nominated for its involvement in global sustainable logistics, confirming its "eco-citizen" behaviour .
SOTRADEL is the only transport/logistics provider among the 45 companies nominated.
